Praise be Jesus Christ!

Now and forever.

Essential for grasping Scripture, the Gospel illuminates earlier biblical texts and is regarded as the "Good News" that nourishes faith and inspires action. The Liturgy of the Word, including the Gospel, is vital to sacramental celebrations, expressing the meaning of the service through the Word of God and the community's faith response.

The presence of Christ in the Gospel is honored through gestures like standing and acclamations. In essence, the Gospel is the living Word of Christ, guiding the faithful in understanding God's message and encouraging active response in their lives.
