Blessings to a great St. Francis Xavier parish family!
I am Father Andrew Cyruk, (called by all "Father Andrew"). I feel so blessed to be appointed by His Grace, Archbishop Leo to serve in Mississauga as of June 26, 2024.
I was born in Poland in 1969 and came to Canada as a university student in 1993. After completion of my seminary/ theological studies I graduated from St. Paul University in Ottawa, and was ordained Priest on May 31, 1996 at the age of 27.
My priestly ministry called me first to serve people in Saskatchewan (city of North Battleford) for 9 years. In 2005 I begun my ministry in the Archdiocese of Toronto at Guardian Angels Parish in Orillia. I spent nearly 14 years of priestly service, first as associate, then very briefly parish administrator, and then pastor and for 12 years.
In 2019 I was appointed pastor at Holy Family in Bolton. I have been blessed to minister in this parish through the challenges of the covid pandemic for nearly five years. I particularly enjoyed serving our youth ministry teams, and our lovely seniors.
I am archdiocesan priest of Toronto and my pleasure is to be of service to the People of God wherever I am sent.
I am truly looking forward to meeting all of you, and as I read the story of our beautiful Saint Francis Xavier, I like what I had learned about him, namely that he walked with cheerful and joy-filled heart and loved the Lord whom he faithfully served.
My dear friends at St. Francis Xavier, I entrust myself to your prayers and may God bless you in this Easter Season.
Warm blessings and prayers,
Father Andrew
