Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we approach the feast day of our beloved patron, St. Francis Xavier, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the beautiful parish community we share. This feast is always a joyful reminder of who we are and who we strive to become—missionary disciples rooted in prayer, strengthened by the sacraments, and committed to serving others.
St. Francis Xavier once wrote, “I am not tired of travelling; I am only tired of not having enough to do for God.” His zeal for souls, his courage to go beyond familiar shores, and his deep love for Christ continue to inspire us today. While our mission field may look different from his, the call remains the same: to bring the love of Jesus to those around us—our families, neighbours, colleagues, and especially those who feel far from the Church.
I am deeply grateful for each of you—your time, your talents, and your generosity. Our parish is vibrant because of your faith and your willingness to serve. Whether you help at Mass, volunteer behind the scenes, support our ministries, or simply pray for our community, please know that your contribution matters.
This year, once again we are blessed to welcome our Regional Bishop, Ivan Camilleri, who will join us on the evening of December 3rd to celebrate our feast day Mass. I hope many of you will be able to attend this special liturgy and the social gathering that follows. It will be a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, celebrate our patron, and strengthen the bonds that make our parish a spiritual home for so many.
As we prepare for this feast, may St. Francis Xavier intercede for us and help us renew our commitment to living the Gospel with joy and conviction. Thank you for being such an important part of our parish family.
With gratitude and prayers,
Fr. Andrew
