On Friday, September 20, 2024, the Most Reverend Francis Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto traveled to Villanova College in King City, Ont. to celebrate the start of the 25th anniversary year.

Established in 1999, St. Thomas of Villanova College opened its doors to twenty-six students in grades 7, 8, and 9 in Sacred Heart Parish’s Hall in King City.

In January 2002, it moved to thirty-three acres at Marylake, owned by the Augustinian Fathers and home to the Our Lady of Grace Shrine, first occupying a port-a-pak of 12,000 sq. ft.  To address the increase in enrollment annually as it completed the high school in 2003, it began constructing its current facility in 2002, with additional phases in 2003 and 2009.  In its current phase of construction, the school is adding another 40,000 sq.ft. in 2025 comprised of a performing arts centre, specialty classrooms for music, a dining hall with kitchen and other common spaces for our 600 students from grades 4-12.
