Easter Triduum 2025

Dear Parishioners

The final blessing at Mass is a significant part of the liturgical celebration, marking the conclusion of the Eucharistic service and sending the faithful forth to live out the grace they have received. This rite is composed of several elements that emphasize the communal and sacramental nature of the Church.

"And may the blessing of almighty God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, come down on you and remain with you forever." The congregation responds with "Amen" to affirm the blessing received.

THE FINAL BLESSING SERVES MULTIPLE PURPOSES:

SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT: It reinforces the idea that the grace received during the Mass is meant to be shared and lived out in daily life.

COMMUNITY AND UNITY: The communal aspect of the blessing and dismissal highlights the unity of the Church.

TRANSITION TO DAILY LIFE: The dismissal is a transition from the sacred space of the liturgy to the secular world, encouraging the faithful to carry the spirit of the Mass into their everyday lives

Blessings,

Fr. Andrew
