EPISCOPAL VISITATION: on Friday, March 13, and continuing through Saturday and Sunday

Posted : Mar-03-2026

Bishop Ivan Camilleri

Dear Parishioners,

It is with great joy that I inform you that we will be welcoming Bishop Ivan Camilleri to St. Francis Xavier Parish for an Episcopal Visitation beginning on Friday, March 13, and continuing through Saturday and Sunday.

An Episcopal Visitation is an important moment in the life of a parish. It is an opportunity for the Bishop, as our chief shepherd, to be present among his people — to pray with us, to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, to meet with clergy and staff, and to gain a deeper understanding of the pastoral life of the parish. It is also a moment of encouragement and communion, reminding us that our parish is part of the wider Church.

On Friday, Bishop Ivan will visit all of our Catholic schools. We are blessed to be connected with five elementary schools and two secondary schools, and he will spend time in each school community. He will also meet with the clergy and parish staff that day.

On Saturday morning, the Bishop will meet with the Finance Council, and later he will gather with various parish representatives in an open-table format, offering an opportunity for dialogue and shared reflection on parish life.

Bishop Ivan will celebrate Mass with us:
Friday evening
Saturday evening
Sunday at 12:00 noon

We are truly blessed to welcome our Bishop to our parish. In these days leading up to his visit, I invite you to keep this Episcopal Visitation in your prayers, asking the Lord to bless our parish community and to strengthen us in faith, unity and mission.

With gratitude and every blessing,

Fr. Andrew
