Dear Parishioners,

As summer draws to a close and a new school year begins, the life of our parish also starts to gather momentum once again. Children and young people return to school, families settle back into familiar routines, and our parish ministries and activities begin a new season.

Since arriving at St. Francis Xavier Parish, I have spent much of the summer becoming familiar with the parish—meeting parishioners, learning about our many ministries, and beginning to understand the traditions, strengths, and hopes of this wonderful community. I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome I have received and for the generosity of all those who serve our parish in so many different ways.

Now, as September begins, I am very much looking forward to experiencing the full life of St. Francis Xavier Parish: our liturgies and sacramental celebrations, faith formation, outreach, fellowship, and the many gatherings that bring us together as a community of faith.

A new pastoral year offers each of us an invitation to begin again—to renew our prayer, deepen our relationship with Christ, and consider how we might share our gifts in the life and mission of the parish. I look forward to walking with you as, together, we seek to grow as disciples and make Christ known.

May God bless our students, teachers, families, and all who begin something new this September.

Fr. Marc-André Campbell
